My buddy Tom and I had just finished a hiking and photography trip in Southern Utah.
About 120 miles south of Zion National Park is Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.
We had driven past here many times, but decided to check it out this time.
It is beautiful and fascinating, with many wonderful rock formations of varying colors.
