In June of 2018 Lori and I flew to Helsinki, Finland and spent several days there.
Next we flew to Riga, Latvia and spent several days there also.
About a five minute walk from the old town we came upon The Nativity of Christ Orthodox Cathedral.
Built between 1876 and 1883 in the Neo-Byzantine style, when Latvia was part of the Russian Empire.
The building survived the Soviet era by becoming a planetarium and restaurant.
This image was taken directly in front of the cathedral.
