Lori and I visited Croatia in 2012. In the middle of the trip we drove out on a peninsula to the town of Orebic, where we boarded a car ferry to the island of Korcula. This is the place of Marco Polo's birth according to some Historians. Others say he was born in Venice.
We spent two nights in the city of Korcula and visited Marco Polo's house.
During our first night we saw this incredible ship, the "Sea Cloud" dock in the town.
This ship was built in Germany in 1931 and is 360 feet long.
After dinner I walked around the small harbor to get this view of the ship for my photograph.
The tallest structure is Saint Mark's Cathedral, built in the 15th century.
