In 2007 Lori and I went to Kenya. After arriving in Nairobi we boarded a plane to Eldoret, near the border with Uganda. From there we took a taxi further north to Kitale.
We were visiting a Christian ministry started by several women from Orange County California called Ordinary Women. We delivered two wheelchairs to an orphanage there.
We got the wheelchairs from "Free Wheelchair Mission". After giving one of the wheelchairs to a young boy who did not have the use of his legs, he and I joined the other kids on the soccer pitch and had a great time. He almost fell out of the wheelchair
multiply times (laughing continuously), and we scored a goal!

When it was time to leave, instead of flying directly home, we did a wildlife safari.
We stayed for several nights at a game lodge in the Masai Mara.
We had been in this area of the Serengeti back in 1979. This might be Lori's favorite place
other than our home in Dana Point, California.
Printing this image in "faux painting" style makes it more authentic to the original scene.
Below is a detail of the image.
