A six or seven hour drive up the coast from our home in Dana Point is the Monterey Peninsula.
This is one of the prettiest places in the world.
There are four cities on the peninsula: Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Pebble Beach.
This house in Pebble Beach sits just uphill above the Seventeen Mile Drive and the Pacific Ocean.
I never had any thought of printing this image in the customary fashion.
From the beginning it was always going to be "faux painting".
