The Face of Half Dome!
I have travelled and camped out in Yosemite for the past fifty years and have taken many photographs here. Late in the afternoon in the winter the sun strikes across the face of the monolith at a hard angle and displays all the detail in the rock. When you add a fresh covering of snow from the night before and the image is magic.
Of all the images taken in Yosemite, this is my personal favorite.
