In April of 2025, Lori and I spent three weeks travelling around middle and southern France.
We have travelled in France many times and are always amazed at how beautiful it is.
Lori is a huge admirer of Claude Monet and so we took a tour of his home in Giverny.
He is considered the founder of Impressionism. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting "Impression, soleil levant" (Impression, Sunrise) which he exhibited in 1874 at the first Impressionist Exhibition put on by Money and other painters of like mind.
This image shows many of the tulips Monet planted next to his home.
In the spirit of impressionism I only print this image as "faux painting".
