My hiking buddy Tom and I took a road trip in February of 2019. We spent our time in northern Arizona and southern Utah. The weather went from warm and sunny to very cold and snow.
One of the nights we spent the night in Moab, Utah and got up early the next morning about two hours before sunrise and drove to Dead Horse Point State Park.
After taking a great sunrise image there, we drove to Arches National Park.
We spent most of the day hiking and driving around the park, but when it was getting late in the afternoon we started our hike toward Delicate Arch. This was the image I was after.
The surrounding hills had a fresh dusting of snow and the clouds were just right.
I setup the image to include a large arch in the distance that is in the middle of Delicate Arch.
