My hiking buddy Tom and I took a road trip in February of 2019. We spent our time in northern Arizona and southern Utah. The weather went from warm and sunny to very cold and snow.
One of the nights we spent the night in Moab, Utah and got up early the next morning about two hours before sunrise and drove to Dead Horse Point State Park.
Once there I set up my camera on a tripod and waited for the sunrise.
It was magnificent, with clouds in the sky and the clear sunlight coming from the east.
