A young Ukrainian girl drawing her self portrait.
In June 2025 I was given the pleasure of returning to the Karabin Camp in Western Ukraine.
This camp allows children to be children for a week free of bombs and drones.
There is an organization called Novi that ministers to children in war zones. Novi is run by two wonderful friends of mine, Steve and Oddny. They have been helping kids in Ukraine for many years. They don't just help with physical needs, but really focus on the psychological trauma that war inflicts on these young minds. There work is invaluable. The head of Novi in Ukraine is Sasha. Sasha is a big man with an even bigger heart.
"Our commitment to improving the lives of children affected by war is key to building a better and more peaceful world. These children are tomorrow's leaders, and investing in their well-being is a strategic priority to ensure their future contributions." Novi
