Apsara Dancers Bass Reliefs, Angkor Wat Temple, Cambodia

Located in northwestern Cambodia is a huge complex of temples.  Originally built in the 10th to 12th centuries as Hindu Temples dedicated to various gods.  Over the years they were gradually changed to Buddist.  They are located in the ancient Khmer capital city of Angkor and the surrounding area.  All together, they are considered the largest religious structure in the world.
This is part of Angkor Wat temple build in the 11th century and dedicated to the god Vishnu.​​

If you visit this site today, these Apsara Dancers would be in relief from the wall, but would almost be the same brightness as the wall.  When I looked at this scene, I envisioned the dancers being bright, and quite distinct from the wall, so that is how I made the final image.
